Dorado found!

This morning Cynthia spotted Dorado ashore in this satellite pic (from https://storms.ngs.noaa.gov/storms/irma/index.html. She spotted the bright red bottom.... and the unpainted rudder is proof that it is the correct boat. Exciting!

    1. YES, the trees are stripped. They should leaf out in a couple months.

  2. Oh, Dustin, we hope the boat's not too badly damaged.

    1. I have tickets for late October and early December. We shall see if I use either or skip it or sail down...

  3. Wow! Dustin, that's fantastic news! We hope the hull is OK as well as the rest of her. How creative of Cynthia to find her by satellite! Keep us posted.

    1. I found the satellite pics today and picked out another boat as being Dorado. Cynthia said, "Hey, this one has a red bottom like your boat.." and I looked and saw the portlights looked right.... and no paint on the rudder (I planned on pulling it off and repairing it this fall). Teamwork!

    2. Great news! Let's hold our breath on the next hurricane coming that way. Have you heard from any of your friends down there?

    3. No reply: STILL no communications and they surely have things more important than telling me about my boat..
