Right now, the storm looks like lots of wind and wet snow, turning to dry snow and wind mid morning for the second half of the total precipitation. My forecast says 15", but my cousin Ann is listening to the radio and hearing "up to 30" on Cape Cod". WELL!
At least we are not in Boston, where the entire storm is forecast to be 23" of dry snow, along with strong winds that will create lots of drifting.
And at least temperatures are forecast to be warm enough that salt will melt snow on the roads...

Monty seems to be doing better and better and is an excellent lap dog.
He really loves being a Cape Cod beach dog, loves racing up and down the beach, finding interesting things, playing with nice dogs.
Monty and Lucy are doing well, although Lucy seems to be much older than we noticed before: either the comparison makes her look old or the young twerp is wearing her out. They ARE beginning to play together and definitely enjoy sniffing things out together on walks. Monty takes much joy in pretending to run her down, only to slightly miss her or sideswipe her at high speed, once rolling her over completely, but mostly they do well.
I notice that Monty cowers when I call him, sometimes even wandering away. I hypothesize that his prior owner got angry when Monty would not come and punished him for it. Unfortunately, all a dog knows when he gets punished is that 1) owner called, 2) he got near owner, 3) he got punished. He thus learned to run away when called and expect punishment when approached.
Cynthia's back and knees seem to be doing far better, although I think she takes far better care of her patients than of herself. And she is really enjoying having our Cape Cod beaches to roam!
I'm thinking we will probably not get sailing until at least March. Sad to be off the boat, but such is life.... and I'm enjoying the beaches here and Monty is gaining security with time together. Still, WE MISS BAHAMAS!
